Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Caliber Newport News Insulation Services handles the information you share when you visit our website, call us or ask for a quote. We're an insulation contractor in Newport News, VA, and we work in homes and businesses across the Peninsula and South Hampton Roads.
It applies to this website, starting from our home page, and to the calls, texts and emails that follow when you contact us. If you want to know more about who we are before you read on, our About page has that.
What information we collect
Most of what we have is what you give us. When you fill out our contact form, call or email, you'll usually share your name, phone number, email, the address of the property and a few notes about the job, like a hot upstairs room or a drafty crawl space.
Our contact form is run by an outside form service, so what you type goes through that service before it reaches us. That service handles your entries under its own privacy terms.
When you browse the site, some details are collected automatically. These can include your device and browser type, the pages you looked at, how long you stayed, the site that sent you here and a general location based on your IP address. We don't use this to figure out who you are.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files your browser saves so a site can remember things between visits. We and the tools we use rely on them to keep the site working and to count visits, so we can see which pages help people and which ones don't.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features, like the contact form, may need cookies to submit properly.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to answer your question, schedule an estimate, do the work and follow up on it. That covers calling you back, sending a quote, confirming a visit time and keeping a record of the job so we can answer questions about it later.
We use the site data in general terms to fix problems and improve the pages. We don't sell your information, and we don't add you to marketing lists you didn't ask to join.
When we share it
We share information only when it's needed to run the business or the job. That includes the services that host this site, run our contact form, handle our phone and email and measure site traffic, and each of them only gets what it needs to do its part.
We'll also share information if the law requires it, such as for a valid legal request, or if it's needed to protect our customers, our crew or the business.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact details and job records for as long as we need them to serve you, back up our work and meet tax, insurance and legal recordkeeping duties. If you asked for a quote and didn't hire us, we don't keep that information longer than we reasonably need it.
Site analytics are kept in summary form and are cleared on the schedule each tool sets. When records aren't needed anymore, we delete them or strip out anything that identifies you.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Depending on the state you live in, the law may give you more rights than that, and we'll honor the request either way unless we have to keep a record for legal or tax reasons.
You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time, and we'll take you off our follow-up list. We'll confirm who you are before we change or delete anything, so nobody else can make requests in your name.
Security and children
We use reasonable steps to protect what you send us, like password-protected accounts and limiting who on our team can see customer records. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don't send payment card numbers or other sensitive details through the contact form.
This site is meant for adults arranging work on a home or building. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, and if we learn we have, we'll delete it.
How to reach us about privacy
If you have a privacy question or concern, or you want to make one of the requests above, call us at (757) 527-8669 or reach us through our Contact page. We reply within 1 business day and will tell you what we can do and how long it will take.
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page. Using the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
